FAQ
---
What defines a high-quality electric height-adjustable desk?
A quality model like is characterized by a wide adjustment range (650 to 1,300 mm), a high lifting speed (approx. 50 mm/sec), and a quiet motor (under 42 dB). In addition, a high dynamic load capacity of 100 kg is essential to ensure that all workstation equipment can be moved safely and stably.
How do I adjust an electric desk ergonomically?
**Sitting height:**
Your elbows should be at a right angle (approx. 90°) when your forearms are resting relaxed on the desktop. Your feet should be flat on the floor.
**Standing height:**
The desktop should be at elbow height so that your forearms are also relaxed and your wrists are straight. The Styles memory function makes it easy to recall these profiles at the touch of a button.
Why is alternating between sitting and standing so important for back health?
Movement is essential because regular changes in posture improve blood circulation and oxygen supply, relieve pressure on the intervertebral discs, and activate the muscles. This prevents postural damage and is proven to enhance concentration and mental flexibility. Ergonomics experts recommend the 60-30-10 rule (60% sitting, 30% standing, 10% walking).
How can cable clutter be avoided when raising the desk?
For motorized desks, integrated cable management that moves with the table is crucial. CEKA desks offer magnetic cable chains that are securely fixed to the column, as well as spacious cable trays to route all supply lines safely and prevent damage during adjustment.
Which additional options for acoustic and visual screening are useful?
To enable concentrated work in modern office landscapes, you can choose matching visual and acoustic privacy screens. These can be seamlessly combined with the height-adjustable workstations, creating quiet zones without compromising the desk's flexibility.
What should be considered regarding the dynamic load capacity (100 kg)?
The dynamic load capacity indicates the maximum weight that the motors can safely lift during the adjustment process. With a capacity of 100 kg, the desk ensures that even extensive setups with multiple monitors, mounts, and hardware can be moved smoothly and without wear.
